Indonesia is a pluralistic nation and heterogeneous country with a variety of religious, ethnic, language, and cultural backgrounds. So far, Indonesian people and society live relatively harmoniously and peacefully under the umbrella of “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” (Unity in Diversity). The Muslims form a majority and larger part. of Indonesian population. However, since its Independence in 1945, Indonesia was not designed to be a religious state by its founding fathers, much more an Islamic state, based on Islamic laws. Skripsinya yang berjudul Multi Interpretasi Sila Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa Sebagai Modus Vendi Agama-Agama di Indonesia, telah mengantarkannya sebagai sarjana berpretasi terbaik di Fakultasnya.
